Bishop Wand Students Go From Strength to Strength
We are delighted that our students at Bishop Wand have again managed to achieve some of the best examination results in the country and at a time when we have moved from the old examination system to the new.
In total 71% of students passed the new GCSE’s with English and Maths at level 4, an incredible achievement. Our students have risen to the challenge and secured results that will have life changing outcomes. With the percentage of entries achieving the top A*- A grades or equivalent 9-7’s at 22% of all grades our students have again shown they can complete with the very best.
Under the new examination system 85% of students achieved a new level 4 pass or above in English with 75% of students achieving the level 4 pass in Maths.
Students and their families should be rightfully proud of their individual results. As a school, we are pleased to demonstrate a sustained level of outcomes over a number of years, with 2018’s headline figures for achievement and progress amongst the highest in the country.
