Catering

 

At The Bishop Wand Church of England School the catering service is provided by Chartwells. The food is freshly produced daily on site by our dedicated Catering Team led by the Catering Manager, Mrs Power.

Chartwells is a well-established catering company with extensive experience in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to schools across the UK and is committed to providing balanced and varied menus that cater to a range of dietary needs, ensuring all students can enjoy delicious and healthy food options. Their focus on fresh ingredients, sustainability, and innovation has earned them a strong reputation in the school catering sector.  To help you familiarise yourself with their service, please find attached sample menus and additional information about Chartwell’s approach to school catering.

Cashless Catering System

The School operates a Cashless Catering System whereby students use their fingerprint to access their account to make purchases. The School operates the ParentMail online payment system, which allows parent/carers to credit student accounts online with payment being made by debit or credit card and other services such as PayPal. All credits to the Cashless Catering System are made via ParentMail.  If you would like more information about ParentMail, such as arranging for a registration email to be sent, please contact parentmail@bishopwand.surrey.sch.uk

One of the positive benefits of the Cashless Catering System is that parents/carers can specify the amount of money their child can spend each day, to a maximum of £6.00. Also, via the ParentMail system, parent/carers can view the type of purchases their child has made.

Furthermore, parents/carers can restrict access to certain foods if required. Any parent/carer wishing to specify a daily spend limit or discuss dietary requirements can contact Mrs Power, School Catering Manager in writing at the School or by email schoolcanteen@bishopwand.surrey.sch.uk
