Congratulations and well done to our GCSE students
Congratulations and well done to all the GCSE students across Spelthorne and specifically those at Bishop Wand who, in the most difficult of years, have proved to be resilient, determined and have in the most difficult of circumstances achieved outstanding results!
This is our second GCSE results day where the achievements of the students have not been assessed through the traditional method of final exams, with this year’s process having been based upon grades awarded by schools.
Despite this change to the process for the second year running there has been some incredible success for youngsters in our cohort and we would like to celebrate the achievements of some of our students at Bishop Wand.
As ever, we are proud of the all our students who received results today but wish to highlight the following students who achieved exceptional outcomes and made incredible progress during their five years at the school.

We are pleased many of our students will be continuing their education journey with us in our Sixth Form and we look forward to welcoming students from across the country for their post-16 education in September.
Traditionally at this time schools would share their performance data, including pass rates and subject performance measures. This year however, the Spelthorne secondary schools agreed that due to these unusual circumstances, it is not the right time for us to share this data and our combined focus should be on celebrating and supporting the community of young people across the area we serve.
