A Level Results Day 2020
It has been a year like no other, but our students can be proud of the grades awarded today. They have earnt themselves places on a varied and ambitious range of university and apprenticeship courses across the country and it has been a privilege and a joy to work alongside this cohort of students. I congratulate every one of them on their achievements and would like to thank our parent body and all the staff for their inspiration and dedication over the last seven years.
“This year group have been an incredible asset to the school, both in terms of the academic standards they have set but also in terms of their contributions to the wider school and community. They are a fantastic group and we know they are going to achieve great things!” Miss Rook
Today we were able to share a moment of recognition and celebration for the extraordinary resilience and determination shown by our students; it was amazing to hear the individual stories of aspiration, of hurdles overcome and hopes fulfilled. From Accountancy to Zoology, our students ambition and interests are taking them into an array of disciplines across the spectrum of the arts, humanities, STEM and vocational courses, such as medicine, and on to a host of exciting destinations, from Aberystwyth to Durham, with Nottingham, Royal Holloway and Southampton being especially popular choices. These are alongside an exceptional achievement by Matthew Jenkins who has deferred a place to study Mathematics at Cambridge University.
While we are proud of all our students, some exceptional individual results were awarded and are noted below.
