Information for University and College Admissions Team

Bishop Wand is a small, mixed comprehensive, non-selective, faith sixth form with just under 200 students. We work in partnership with the London Irish ACE programme and this, together with our faith status means that our catchment area is wide reaching. All students sit a minimum of three level 3 courses including A Levels and a small number of vocational courses. Our 4-year average grade is C+ and 73% of students progressed to university in 2022 of which 90% secured their first choice of university.    

Residual Impact of COVID 

Due to the residual impact of COVID some wider experiences that benefit students were not available due to the pandemic. The majority of students found it difficult to secure a work experience placement; instead, students were directed to platforms like Future Learn and Springpod to secure virtual experiences.
